I HAVEN'T PLAYED FOR A LONG TIME with ORANGES!- acrylic

This painting was very hard to control but such fun to wrestle with. For the first time I used Copper paint to give a different quality to parts of the canvas. Colour is an amazing thing. Each new brush stroke creates a new relationship somewhere on the canvas. A speck of powder blue 'here' will call for another 'there' for no apparent reason.
Last night I heard the sad news that most of Kyffin Williams work has been sold out of Wales, even the auction was in England. It would have been so good to have one of Wales most stunning painters works kept in his own country.

This is part of my recent exhibition at Newtown Library.

PROUD MUM

Posted by Picasa
Ceri graduated on Sat 16 June 2007 with distinction from 'School of the Word' - Cardiff .
There must be a website, but I can't track it down.
It was a great graduation primarily because it was small scale and personal ... and the food was good too! Cez has had an amazing year with the school, working through a very tough course filled with demanding essays that would stretch anyone.
Mum was quiet proud too!
Now it's time to find a job ... an even harder task, as education in Wales seems to keep its teachers ... vacancies being few and far between.
