DAY TRIP TO MOMA MACH

Posted by Picasa
For years I wondered where the word MOMA came from until recently I found it stood for the Museum of Modern Art. MOMA is in Machynlleth, the home of alternative technology. On the way in, across the tops of wilderness Wales, high in the mountains above Machynlleth we saw many wind farms catching the wild spring weather. They stand as tributes to what were once thought to be a group of 'crazy freaks' worrying about the worlds resources being wasted!
We will I suspect, become frequent visitors to MOMA ... such an amazing place, with a constantly changing set of exhibitions and shows.
Around about, on the hills of Mach & Drenewydd were fresh falls of snow, with more to come.

SPRING IN WALES

Posted by Picasa Slowly SPRING comes to Wales.
Our newly created back garden is showing signs of life, in between deep deep frosts. Wonderful little daffodils have pushed through the ground against all odds and against fierce winds.
We have just driven here to Berriew, along the way seeing in the fields new lambs frisking among their many new brothers and sisters. Here in Berriew Sian & I have just given our first retreat of the year. Afterwards we had a quick wander along the lanes of this wonderful village, full of amazing building dating back to at least 1616. We will be back!!
