CHANGED FROM GLORY INTO GLORY

Living by the coast for the first time is very exciting because of the fast changing weather. Clouds come and go within seconds.

OLD STORIES FROM AN OLD LAND

Last night we were treated to wonderful time of story telling of very local 'old tales' from our own doorstep, stories about cottages in old woods that still there to this day. Stories of fairy folk, of strange happenings, of the unexplainable and downright humorous. All performed in and out of an old cottage just like the ones in the stories.

WENT LOOKING FOR NEW PAINTING POSSIBILITIES

Now I live in Llanon I need to build up a stock of paintings related to my new home. I have an attic full of older material from a different part of Wales, different countryside, different buildings and scale. So, Aberaeron it was! Such a great place, full of painted houses and the well known feature 'The Harbourmaster'.

HOW STRANGE - Living by the Sea.

It's so strange to just walk, ride, drive to the sea instead of travelling for hours. We are there in next to no time. Because of the orientation of our house we tend in hot weather to have the curtains closed all day and are now thinking of putting up even more thermal blinds to keep the rooms cool.

Afternoon walk in between showers.

IN MY VERY TINY GARDEN

In my very small new garden I have started to plant out my first seeds a bit close to the edge of some recommendations, but, who dares!
In my tiny patch we might have a massive harvest of Radish - Onions - French Beans - Mooli - Basil - Mustard Greens - Fennel - cut and Come Again Lettuce and more .... Chillies in the cold frame ... micro greens on the window ledges ... cucumbers in pots. We may soon be sampling wonderful treasures of freshness!!
